We’re worldwide, baby!
Crazy. Sexy. Cool.
That was our experience working with our clients, TLC, for their VH1 Super Bowl Blitz performance, a six-night concert series that also featured artists J. Cole, Janelle Monae, FallOut Boy, Goo Goo Dolls, and Gavin DeGraw.
From production to hair and makeup, the CPP team collaborated with T-Boz and Chilli to perfect the show, including two weeks of rehearsal time in an Atlanta studio with backup dancers and celebrated Creative Director/Choreographer Jamaica Craft.
Finally, it was showtime!
T-Boz and Chilli took the stage in front of a sold out crowd at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. The energized duo kept their fans on their feet as they performed their trendsetting dance moves set to their numerous hits including “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” ”What About Your Friends,” ”Creep,” and “No Scrubs.” Legendary rapper and beatbox extraordinaire Doug E. Fresh also made a surprise appearance.
But it wasn’t all uptempo songs. TLC also slowed it down and turned up their sex appeal while performing their sensual chart-topping single, “Red Light Special.” But it was the sentimental rendition of “Waterfalls” that really moved the crowd. Backed by the Harlem Boys Choir, TLC was joined on stage by famed ballerina Misty Copeland during the unforgettable verse of deceased group member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. Copeland honored Lopes’s memory with a beautiful and graceful dance. The grand finale of the night was “Meant to Be,” last year’s single from their compilation album 20.
CPP’s artists Geeta Khanna and Eve Whittington were also backstage for hair and makeup services. Here are a few behind the scenes pics, as well as photos from the show.

After the show, there wasn’t much time to celebrate. The CPP Team was off to Brazil the very next day for a 10-day tour with Ne-Yo. More to come on that soon!
